Discovery Call

15 mins – Free

It’s important that you feel confident I am the right therapist to help you before committing to an initial consultation. I offer all potential clients a 15-minute discovery telephone call before confirming therapy appointments.

This initial call is for you to ask me any questions about the therapy process to help you decide whether I am the right therapist for you. In this call I will ask you to share with me a brief outline of your current therapy needs, your previous therapy experience and your hopes for what you would like to get out of working together. I will tell you about how I practice and what I can offer and then encourage you to reflect on whether working booking an initial consultation feels right for you.

Initial Consultation

1hr 30 mins - £400

Following a discovery call, this is where we will start if we’ve not worked together before. I will actively listen to your story and hear where things are the most challenging for you at the moment. I’ll share my reflections and ideas of how your difficulties likely developed, discuss why your experiences may not have resolved, share what I think might be your key sticking points and discuss ideas about how you can start to move forward. I will send you a series of specialist therapy questionnaires before the consultation to help guide our discussion and will reflect on these with you during the consultation.

Some clients find that this initial consultation is enough as a standalone conversation to provide them with the guidance they need to work through their challenges independently.

Others choose to continue the conversation we’ve started and wish to book regular therapy appointments following this consultation.

One outcome of the initial consultation may be that I suggest another therapist or therapeutic approach would be better suited to your current needs. I always endeavour to provide bespoke recommendations of colleagues I know personally and clinically when this is the case.

Therapy Sessions

50 min sessions - £200

Following an initial consultation, for those who are interested in more in-depth psychological work, we’ll make a commitment of working together weekly to focus on achieving your specific therapy goals.

Many clients often make substantial progress in the first 4-6 sessions of therapy. On average, clients tend to work with me for around 12-16 sessions. Clients may choose to end at this point or continue the work on more of an ad-hoc coaching basis after this. As CBT is a short-term therapy, I will always regularly review your progress and ask you for your feedback on the therapy process to ensure the therapy is continuing to meet your needs.

Monthly Coaching

50 min sessions - £200

Monthly coaching is typically best for clients when we’ve finished a longer piece of work together and who feel they could benefit from some extra consultation. Coaching sessions tend to focus on revisiting previous therapy principles and discussions around how to apply previously learnt tools to your current situation.

These monthly check-ins can be particularly helpful for clients who have valued the regular accountability of therapy and want to make sure they are keeping on track with our earlier work. Many clients benefit from coaching sessions to problem solve together a particular new difficulty or challenge they are facing, even if it’s been a few years since we last worked together. I always really enjoy hearing again from clients I’ve worked with previously.

Clinical Supervision

50 min sessions - £160

If you are a qualified UK mental health professional and are looking for some specialist supervision for your clients with depersonalisation, derealisation, anxiety or trauma difficulties, I would love to help you. Whether you require a one-off steering call to formulate ideas for how to move forward with a particular client, or are in need of a regular specialist clinical supervisor for your private practice caseload, I’d be more than happy to meet with you to discuss your particular supervision needs.

I currently provide clinical supervision to a wide range of psychological professionals, from high intensity trainees on postgraduate diploma in CBT courses to consultant clinical psychologists in leadership and management positions in specialist NHS services, as well as clinical directors running their own psychological therapy private practices. As a BABCP accredited supervisor I can provide bespoke CTS-R tape ratings for those working towards or maintaining BABCP accreditation.

Teaching and Training

Alongside clinical practice, I’m an honorary lecturer at the Institute of Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience, King’s College London on their Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and MSc courses.

I’m incredibly passionate about teaching and training other mental health professionals how to successfully recognise, work with and treat dissociative presentations. I really enjoy presenting our latest clinical and research ideas at psychotherapy conferences, as well as providing clinical workshops and training days for organisations.

Examples of speaking engagements I’ve been invited to include:

  • Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre Workshop Programme

  • Stanford University INSPIRE Training Programme, Master Clinician Series

  • British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists Annual Conference

If a teaching or training day could be of interest to your organisation, please do contact me to discuss your requirements.
